Holidays in Florida
message from Ian Bartholomew on 28 Jun 2005
Some relations visited at the weekend and during the conversations they
cautioned us about the "dangers" of pressing 9 when receiving holiday offers
from Florida. Apparently the warnings of £50+ phone bills had been featured
quite heavily in their local press and at work.

My immediate response of "don't worry, it's a load of bollocks" probably
coloured the rest of that conversation and I could see that my explanations
about not being charged on any incoming call and the maximum charge being
£1.50 a minute fell on deaf ears.

I was wondering if anyone knew of a "reputable" web site (the pope's blog or
something) that explained the true situation and to which I could direct
them.?

Thanks for all the links, I'll pass them on and see if it helps.
