No you can't - simply because 3 is a 3G/UMTS network and the K750i is not a
3G phone!!

Not likely!!! The k750i is a GSM phone and wont be available on 3 which is
a UMTS network. If you got a 750i and tried to use it on 3 (with their USIM
card) they would soon block it.
3 will be offering a SonyEricsson k608i in the Autumn (its a similar handset
to the k600i). Have a look at this url for details
http://www.mobilegazette.com/sony-ericsson-k600.htm
If you want a k750i it will have to be on one of the GSM networks.

Thanks for that. I am phone illiterate and my son just sees "A NEW
PHONE"
Its a toss up with 200 mins of calls and a 100 texts and a Sony 750i
on Orange or 500 mins and 100 texts with 3 and a Nokia 6680 at present
BUT I need to make a decision before the end of the month...very soon
now :)
ANy advice and expereince welcomed.....sorry to be a pain but its
ahard dchoice when you know diddly about phones and the networks.
Please help me decide if you can! Online shops to deal with on
reccomendation would be a plus also.
Thanks in advance.

If you actually want to make and receive calls 3 is not a good choice
of network.

K750i is a well liked handset, well at least I like mine. Ended up with
a deal from Vodafone`s own online shop, free K750i =A325
/200mins/250txt/ low cost evening calls with 1/2 price line rental for
first 6 months.
Would not reccomend Car Phonme Warehouse or its One Stop Phone Shop
division, not good not cheap.

If you actually want to make and receive calls 3 as a network isn`t a
great choice.
Read the reviews http://www.reviewcentre.com
SE K750i is a well respected handset, well I like mine, got it direct
from Vodafone online shop which on 18 month contract was by far best
deal could find. 200mins/250 txts/ =A325 month 1/2 price first 6 months,
not by redemption. Stop the clock deal makes evening calls cheap as
chips.
Would avoid the nosediving Carphone Warehouse and its bucket scraping
One stop Phone Shop division, they ain`t even cheap.

I think the 608 is the t-mobile specific version - the k600i is the
generic version
