| T-Mobile loss of divert |
| message from Nicci Jacobson on 24 Jun 2005 |
Hi,
Is it me???
I spent almost 4 hours (about 7 calls to 7 different people, explaining the
problem every time) trying to get T-Mobile to remove all diverts from my
number before leaving the country (I did not want to be saddled with charges
for calls to my voicemail while I was away) because cancelling diverts from
the handset had no effect.
Now I'm back and I find they've totally disabled my voicemail and the
ability to set diverts. So after another 3 calls to 3 different people (all
of whom told me its now working again), I finally have my voicemail back. I
now find that where I had several divert options on my handset (Nokia 6310i)
before; Divert all, divert on busy, divert on no answer, divert on busy or
no answer and divert if unavailable, I now only have two options; all or
unavailable.
Trying to explain this problem to the ****wits on their customer service
desk is like knitting fog.
"We can't do anything about that, try ringing Nokia"
"It must be your handset that's faulty", etc. etc. etc.
Someone please tell me I'm not imagining things and they have done something
to screw up the config of my CTH (Customer Telephone Handset). I have tried
a different handset which has the same divert options missing.
Rant over!!!!
On the same subject, does anyone know the network codes for DNR, DOB & DNRB.
I know **21*0xxxxxxxx# invokes divert all calls! ##21# cancels all diverts.
What are the other codes please?
Cheers all....

Try calling 222 to reactivate your voice mail, you also get sent a sim
update when you do this - maybe this will help.

Oh. God. I had that problem with Orange.
You're not imagining things.
I think they're in the range *61 / *62 / *63 but can't remember all the
parameters.
However, these may still be as unusable as the handset menu options:
it depends whether the "options" or the "menu" have been disabled.
If you want to get through to someone at t-mobile who knows what they
are talking about, you really need to call during office hours;
you get some real idiots at night/evening.
