Carphone Warehouse are currently doing the SE K750i for £299.99 - anyone
know if and when they intend to drop these prices?

I'm waiting until someone works out how to unlock & unbrand them, then it's
get one free with a Vodafone Evening and Weekend 1000 contract.
12 months x £16 + £25 (?) to unlock, £217 total.
Give the SIM to the missus to replace her PAYG.

Has anyone done this with an Orange-branded version of the K750i?
What I intend to do, is to upgrade the firmware to the latest version, and
unbrand it - will this be possible?

Yes, though make sure you set the correct CDA information, otherwise
next time you use the Sony Ericsson Update Service it could rebrand
your phone:
- CDA Number: CDA102338/38
- CDA Revision: R6A
- Model: K750i
- Language Variant Name: EUROPE_2

Windows device manager reports mine as:
Sony Ericsson K750 USB WMC Device Management (COM7)
and
Sony Ericsson WMC OBEX Interface (COM6)
So which port would I select in Davinci?

Neither. You have downloaded the wrong client - download the specific
one for the K750i from the DaVinci Team website.

On the Virgin mobile site, the K750 is about 250 quid payg, but out of
stock. If it's anything like my K700 from virgin, it'll likely be unlocked
and unbranded.
