Hi,
I have been on a £30/month contract for a year now and its time to
upgrade... I have been using an SPVM1000 which is ok, and has been useful
for its primary use which is internet access for business use. However, its
not the best and quite sluggish and often misses calls because the buttons
aren't so responsive....
So, can anyone recommend the best handset/deal that has
a) Cheap GPRS use/monthly rental
b) Decent internet ability (the M1000 was ok for this, but a keyboard would
be good).
c) Reliable (the M1000 was not the most reliable phone ever)
d) Bluetooth + WiFi (if poss)
Don't use many minutes per month, and mainly the handset takes diverted
calls from home...
Was considering the SPV M500/550 but unsure of the internet and how well it
works....

The Palm Treo 650 is free on Orange Premier from simplyorange.biz so total
year cost is £330.
You might be able to find the non-keyboard i-mate jam for about £280 all-in
with a contract.

Assuming a free handset and tariff downgrade at earliest opportunity I
make it a total cost of £414 (6 months at £55 Premier 600, and then 6
months on OVP Vodafone business at £14)
