| Full web browsing with GPRS on Vodafone? |
| message from Nigel Walker on 24 Jun 2005 |
Hi,
I want to have full web access using my laptop plugged into my 7210 phone
with a USB cable.
If I sign up for GPRS access on Vodafone (I'm already on a their monthly
voice contract), will I achieve this?
Thanks,
Nigel.

Yes, I have use the full web on Vodafone, and MSN, email, as well as
ssh. I think only O2 Pay as You Go and 3 block the full internet.
You will need to provide proof that you are over 18 (stupid since you
have to be over 18 to get a contract!) in order to turn off content
control, they took £1 from my credit card to do this.

Topped up, fixed gprs, went instant messaging, and emailing.
end of the night it had sucked through 15 quid in gprs.
7.50 quid a meg/ what a rip

Are you sure this was on Vodafone???
Sounds more like T-mobile prices to me, my tarif is £2.25/Mb! T-Mobile
are a rip-off (around £7.50/Mb) unless you get a data allowence, then
they are very good.

I'm on Vodafone Anytime 100 (the cheap online version) and my data is
£7.50/Mb too.
