| Are 0800s free on G3 networks? Orange perhaps? |
| message from Lem on 26 Jun 2005 |
Is it free to call 0800 numbers on any of the G3 networks?
ISTR that Orange is the last "G2" operator to offer free 0800 and
maybe they offer free 0800s on G3 ?

Orabge certainly offer freephone 0800 on their 2G network for non-CC
numbers, I expect no difference on thr 3G network.

The networks i just the technology used to carry yoru call, it makes no
difference to the billing.
If you are an Orange 3G user then 0800 voice calls are free, except to
calling card numbers which are blocked.

My last communication with "3" (the network) said that they
*do* do free 0800s, but not all of them. There's apparently
a "Telephone Help Line Association" list and those 0800s are free,
but no others (so expect AA and CrimStoppers to be free, but
not calling cards' numbers).

Calling cards are not free on Orange either, but many other 0800s are.
as well as some help lines which are not 0800.

I'd rephrase it as 'Calling cards known as such to Orange are not free...'
Not all Orange contract tariffs have free 0800 - Your Plan are included but
not OVP.

That is, indeed, more accurate.
