UFH sensors in the floor or on the wall?

message from Sean on 12 May 2004
Does anyone have an idea on what is the best for temperature control in the house

I'd put the temperature sensor on the room not the floor because I care
about the temperature of the room but not about the temperature of the
floor (within limits)

honeywell cm67 is often suggested by this group

A room temperature sensor (not a thermostat) controlling the heating
flow temperature. The heating flow temperature is measured by an
immersion sensor at the outlet of a 3-port mixing valve. If you have a
non-condensing boiler, the heating flow temperature should also be
restricted, to ensure that the boiler return temperature (another
immersion sensor) doesn't fall below 60degC.

wall. Who cares what the floor is at? Its the room temp you need to monitor.

No, you mean the syetem isolation switch :-)

SWMBO who is used to a 'throw in coal, and use back door to regulate
temp' needs retraining here, I feel...:-)
