Looking for good small cardboard boxes... |
| message from Mike Deblis on 9 May 2004 |
Hi,
I'm looking for a good supplier of reasonably priced good cardboard boxes
for storage - sizes to range from small (A5 x about 5 inches), to A4 etc.
Ideas welcome (most suppliers I've looked at are rubbish).
Thanks
Mike

You could try the "bag-and-box-man" in Banbury though it's mainly for
small quantities so no doubt the bigger firms will be cheaper.
However the prices are quite reasonable.

Viking Direct are usually ok from what i`ve heard elsewhere (mainly for
padded envelopes for DVDs) - they`re also considerably cheaper than the
supplier used where I work, even taking into account the discount they
receive off catalogue price.

I use All Purpose Packaging - 01438 777000
and McFarlaine - 020 8 805 3333
They do have minimum order quantities though

Off-licences. Whisky boxes are very strongly built and often have a sort of
wipe clean printed finish, which makes them a bit less vulnerable to going
damp and soggy.

The 'wipe-clean printed finish' is a varnish applied after all the colours.
(Trust me, I was in packaging!)
