xp install problems |

On several recent attempts to install xp on the new AMD 64 FX-53 rig that I am building, the install gives me errors when setting up for file transfer. Normally *.ddl files, and appears to be random in nature. Sometime "Retry" works, other times it will not, forcing me to "Skip" the file, or stop the install process. When it gets stuck, I have even used another xp disk, but to no avail, as it still can't copy the specific file that it got stuck on. The one time I was able to complete the install, the computer completely froze midway thru the installation of Service Pack 1. Anybody know what is happening here?
