windows media player

everytime i try to use media player it tells me to log off and log back on with a user id who has the authority to
open it what do i need to do , i am the only one on this computer

you may need to give yourself administritive right.

easiest way to find out if you have is to do the following

right mouse button on my computer
manage
select local user and groups
under groups
double click on administrator and see if you can add your account, if you get a permission denied, you need to login as local administrator and put your user account in the local admins group
