watching dvd on TV using laptop |
| message from lb on 7 Jun 2004 |
I've bought a laptop and the relevant cables to connect to
the tv to watch a dvd. However, all is working, except
I'm not sure what to do with the tv. How do I know where
to look on the tv to find the dvd playing?

Did you get a suitable reply to your query?
I have a Toshiba laptop and I need to use hot key Fn+F5 until it goes to TV to change the display device. the PC screen will go black and the TV gets the picture.
firstly though, when you turn on the TV, change TV to an AV channel, then turn on pc.
The TV type is also in the Display Properties/Settings/Advanced. Then click nView tab, click Device Settings and Select Output Device. Select Output Device and click on TV. Select the format that your TV supports ie PAL/ or analog TV.
Hope some of this makes sense.

Greetings --
If your laptop has the capability to display on a TV, the
instructions for doing so will be in the laptop's manual.
