"The following error occurred while attempting to read the properties for the user (user-name): The Server service is not started."
I'm running Windows XP Professional and all available updates have been applied. My system is not on a domain. I'm logged on as an administrator.
Does anyone know the likely cause of this problem? It's not a big deal, except that the problem suggests that something is wrong somewhere, and I don't what other consequences may be lurking for me to discover later...

HI,
Go to Start > Run > services.msc
scroll down to server service and make sure it is set on automatic.
