run time error with Yahoo Messenger

whenever I try to run Yahoo Messenger I always get a script labeled "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library" and it says "This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it an unusual way." and after I ok that something else pops up saying "The instruction at "0x00405850" referenced memory at "0x01341f74". The memory could not "read". Click on OK to terminate the program" I have no idea what any of this means or why it's popping up.

Earlier I stuff was telling me that registry editing and the task manager were disabled but I went back and re-enabled them, so now they work. But I cannot figure out how to solve the problem with Yahoo.
