problems deleteing files |
| message from =?Utf-8?B?RE1HOQ==?= on 11 Jun 2004 |
There are some files I wanted to delete, however, when I the files, I get a message saying "Cannot delete (file name): Access is denied. Make sure disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not currently in use." I'm pretty sure the file is not in use, and normally I just restart to solve this problem, but it doesn't seem to solve this problem. How will I be able to delete these files?

If they are AVI files, however, wait for the preview to come up in the
common tasks panel, then try deleting it. It's a known bug, and there are
registry work arounds for it that let Windows delete it before previewing
it. A simple google search will give you the results....

Greetings,
That usually means the file is in use by a program.
Start in Safe Mode, and you should be able to delete them.
(press F8 while starting, chose Safe Mode)
