| I'm a Tech for a small Consulting group and came accross a small problem I am unable to resolve. One one of our clients' system, the splash screen no longer displays during the boot up process. I tried using safe mode, but that didn't fix anything. This brought to light an additional problem, I figured I could use "System Recovery" and turn back the system to a time when the computer displayed the splash screen.... clicking on "System Recovery" does nothing, the hourglass flashes for a brief second but it never loads. Other than these two "Glitches" the system works perfectly. Any idea? I'm a bit of a nik picker when it comes to the systems I monitor and this has me stumped. ... (more) |

| I recently deleted a virus in my computer. And ever since then, my AOL has been acting kinda strange. I have a cable modem and when I visit webpages, the site opens up in a matter of seconds. But now, when I try to visit one, it will take so slow...like a dial-up connection would...and it doesn't even load anything. It just stops during the middle of the loading process and my computer freezes and then I have to reboot my computer. I wrote in an earlier post that I would want to reformat my computer but I'm too afraid to take the risk because I'm not an advanced person to be doing that process. Everytime I dial up my isp the connection always comes up "page not found error" I then close page while I am still connected through my isp and have to wait ahile and then again click icon ang go to home page and the same happens.
