Hi, I sure hope someone can help me out. I just recently encountered this problem. Open windows will not close. It doesn't happen consistently but when it does I have to shut down the computer. I used to have a Tiscalli account and used Outlook Express for email management. Now we connect to internet using broadband. However we cannot send emails via our tiscalli pop/smtp account but we can receive/download our tiscalli emails. I believe the problem is because we have to be on a Tiscalli internet connection before we are allowed to use their smtp server to send email. | I am having a problem with the date & clock on my taskbar. 1- it seems to have moved to the top line part of the taskbar. 2 when I click on the time, and the date box comes up the first dialog box should be the month, but it contains all "1" the calander appears ok though, displaying June 2004 and todays date highlighted. | I am running XP Home on a Sotec 820P laptop. My combo DVD/CD-RW will not read disks that were burned on it. It reads purchased audio and software CD's fine but no burned disks. The recording function doesn't work either. I suspected the problem was a bad driver, so I reinstalled all the software to factory settings with the Recovery Disks furnished with the computer. That did not resolve the problem. This has to be a software issue otherwise the CD-RW would not function at all. Hi there, I am new to using Windows XP, and I saved a copy of a database in the My Documents and Settings, as it is a shared database. That Folder is seen in 2 places - the desktop and in the hard drive. I have since discovered that there are 2 databases with the exact same name in the exact same location on the computer, showing exact same time of access, etc., but each database contains different information. I have the same problem - I have a wireless connection in the connections window, but when I open up the View Available Wireless Networks window, everything is grayed out except for the Close button, and in the adaptor properties, the Wireless Connections tab is missing; all I have are the General and Advanced tabs. I have been looking for tech support online from MSN for 2 days and can't find squat. I purchased "Wheel of Fortune" deluxe download for my computer . It installs, I got the "key" code to "Unlock" the system. The "unlock" was successful but when I go to open the game online or offline the window comes up with "Action Cancelled" at the topf the page with instructions on how to correct the problem. The "Problem" is NOTHING works to correcct it. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game twice after the "Problem" was supposedly "FIXED" Can someone PLEASE help me????? | I lost a CD-RW drive (no power) and then my startup drive had dll file corruption shortly after that, and then failed to boot. Now, trying to reinstall XP, when I am running the Windows XP CD install disk on what used to be this computer's D: drive (it's been swapped to become C:), the installer is reporting an error due to the fact that it detects a difference in the hardware setup compared to what it had previously recorded as my computer's hardware setup for this particular XP serial number.
