doesn't see USB.

i've downloaded a programe for using the USB as a serial port, which has been accepted, but i get the message saying, windows successfully loaded the device driver for the hardware but cannot find the hardware device (code41), with the serial cable plugged in the USB.

Hi,

Uninstall the software and uninstall the device from device manager, then install software reboot machine, plug in cable, it should then install it as i think a multifunction device or adapter or something along those lines.

Lavan, i still do not get the cable recconised, yet when i take the cable out the phrase from device manager disappears, as if the programe isn't installed, yet in add hardware wizard it tells me the software has installed.
