boot up error

message from Pam on 01 Jun 2004
Everytime I boot up my windows XP PRo it goes thru the whole boot up process
and then at the end of the bootup before the screen comes up - it says
INVALID BOOT.INI file - rebooting from c:/windows .... anyone know why this
does this and what it means and if I can fix it??

just a note - I checked all the fix pages and none seemed to really apply -
but I opened the boot.ini file and low and behold there WAS NONE! so...using
the sample boot.ini code that the fix page had on it - I just did an edit
and created one - and rebooted and held my breath - it worked! booted up
like a charm with no error message

thanks!
