Windows XP will not start |
| message from TLC on 2 Jun 2004 |
Windows XP Home Edition. Gets stuck at the blue Windows
XP screen. Safe mode does not work. Cannot get to
command prompt. Am going to try the recovery CD next but
have some .jpeg files I'm afraid might be lost. Any ideas
or options? Thanks in advance.

Have you tried "Last Good" located in the "Safe Mode" options. Jym

Have you given Safe Mode ample time to boot. Sometimes when XP has a problem
safe mode will work , but it seems like it takes a very long time.
Are you receiving any error message at the point where XP stops booting ?
Does your XP recovery disk have a option to install / repair the present
installation as the retail disk does. This option could fix your problem and
retain your files folders and settings. Good Luck , Jym
