Windows Macros

message from Grace on 9 Jun 2004
I have a certain application called KEA that produces files that I, later,
import into EXCEL as CSV files. Someday, I have dreams of achieving almost
complete automation, something wherein I could call KEA, then, within KEA,
have it type in some canned commands and produce the files (I have written
many KEA macros already that do much of this). Then, I wonder if a widows
macro can wait for those KEA macros to finish and then deliver me to EXCEL,
wherein I have many EXCEL macros already written to finish the tasks.

I guess that the basic question is whether windows XP macros can move
between applications and automate a process involving more than one program.
If the analogy is more clear, let's say you wanted to automate doing
something in WORD, then moving some of it into EXCEL, and then into
PowerPoint.

Kindly let me know if my dreams are realizable!

Thanks,
Grace
