Unwanted IE auto dialing from XP |
| message from =?Utf-8?B?c3RhcmJ1Y2s=?= on 6 Jun 2004 |
I am running XP on a peer to peer network with shared internet access via a dialup. After I disconnect the system automatically reconnects after a short period. This is not wanted especially when I am on the phone when the system wants to make a connection. How do I prevent this from happening, while still wanting to establish a connection on demand from any computer on the network.

If you have set up your system to dial on demand, how is it supposed to know when it's inconvenient for you? Try getting a second phone line, DSL or cable modem.
Or, try pulling the phone plug to the network, and plug the phone in for a while, instead of chaining the phone off your modem.
