Transfer Wizard keeps reporting cannot copy files and quits

I am trying to transfer files from my old computer using the XP
transfer wizard on the old computer. Unfortunately I may have some
unicode named files or Japanse named files. I keep getting a message
saying that the wizard cannot complete. Is there anything I can do
short of going through every file in my computer and deleting anything
like that?
