Two questions on Windows XP Pro

message from rfdjr1 on 04 Jun 2004
First, is there a way to create a shortcut for the "clear" button,
which clears documents off the clipboard. so I don't have to go
through multiple steps to get to it? Windows really has it buried.

Secondly, when I go to Start > Programs > then a group I use, lie
Acceories, or Communications, I realize WIndows only initially shows
the most frequent or most recently used programs and you have to click
the down arrow to expand it. A few times I've seen a very quick box
open up telling you to disable this feature in Task Bar, but it's
always gone before I can read it, and I can't make it appear when I
want. How can I accomplish this? Thanks for any info.

Hi,

Right-click the start button, go to properties, click on customize,
uncheck 'scroll programs.'

Thanks for the reply. I just checked and "scroll programs" isn't
checked at all, so I can't uncheck it.

Hi,

Go to the same place and check that 'use personalized menus' is
unchecked.
You could also try checking 'scroll programs' going to the menus, and
then unchecking it.
