When click to switch off my computer, the standby icon turns grey. What can I do to activate the function?

Hi,
Need to do the following;
right mouse button on my computer
properties
advanced
under performance options
click on advanced tab
then down the bottom where you have virtual memory
click change
then under total paging file for selected drive
selected system managed size
reboot and you should get standy.

Check to see if your Video driver is installed.
