Sounb Blaster Live Value - Audio CD problems

I am having problems playing audio CDs with a SB Live Value and Windows XP. I get a craking sound.
I have no problems with digital audio (i.e.: mp3, wav, etc).
I uses this card with windows 98 and I never had a problem like this.
Ddoes anybody knows if there is a patch to fix this?
