System freezing up

message from =?Utf-8?B?RG9u?= on 4 Jun 2004
After my computer sets idle for awhile or even if it doesn't,
the system freezes up & I have to reboot. I've downloaded
all the updates that are available plus I've run the upgrade
from the system CD, still have the problem. (XP Coorporate).
(Tyring not to do a complete reinstallation) Athalon

First, check Event Viewer (Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tolls - > Event Viewer) for possible errors.

Then try switching to Never all options under Power Options/Settings (Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Power Options/Settings), disable Hibernation.

Do not to do a complete reinstallation. If nothing helps, just repost your problem and list of things you've already done.
