If your opening a file which uses a program (I guess something to do with
solidwork) and you experience the installer pop up, I would repair or
re-install the program.
I have seen this with Microsoft Word, when I repaired the program using add
and remove programs, this fixed it

Thank you for your advice. I repaired SOLIDWORKS as you suggested and now I no longer have the problem. you are great!
