RE: how do i alter the XP log on?

My exact question!

I was doing just fine til I downloaded something from windows update...then it started giving me a logon screen. It's a home comp and I dont want or need that...just boot to desktop.

I shouldn't have to tweak it. is there not any way to just return to it's native state?
