Registry Error - Physical Memory Dump - Help

message from =?Utf-8?B?Tm8nbmV0aW5OSA==?= on 10 Jun 2004
My computer froze up on me one day and eventually I had to just turn it off. When I turned it back on, XP began to startup for about 10 seconds but then it gave a "hickup" and brought me to a screen stating I had 3 options for startup 1) Safe Mode, 2) Safe Mode with Networking, 3) Normal Mode. I have tried all 3 options and each time the computer goes into this "standby" phase (not really on, not really off) and I get a blue screen indicating I have a "Registry Error" that may have been caused by software or hardware I had installed. I hadn't installed anything. Then it states that physical memory dump has been completed.

To top it off, we just moved and my Windows discs are nowehere to be found. Someone has told me they make a backup disk which will at least let me operate going forward but all saved data would be lost.

Can anyone help???

Thanks!
