hi,
need to do following steps to revert back to previous os
Restart computer in Safe mode.
Log on as administrator
Start,Control Panel, and then Add or Remove Programs.
In the list of installed programs, Uninstall Windows XP.
If Uninstall Windows XP is not in the list of installed programs, you must manually reinstall operating system. need to make sure that you back up all your critical data before you reinstall OS
When you receive the following message, click Yes to uninstall XP
Are you sure you want to uninstall Windows XP and restore your previous operating system?
After Windows XP is removed you should be back to your old OS
