Re: Task manager won't run

I just had the same problem, but none of Norton's solutions worked or found
it.

I was shocked that it got through Norton as Norton has blocked hundreds of
attempts on our systems through the years. It also got through our router
fire walls. I ran Norton to see if it could find it, and even did this in
safe mode, but no luck. I also tried downloading a special program from
Norton and ran that and no success.

So I tried the bitdefender "Online Scan" at
http://www.bitdefender.com/index.php?tab=0 and it found it right away.
Although it couldn't delete it, it did tell me the file name Initiate.exe
was the problem. So i searched the hard drive and registry and deleted all
references, then rebooted. That did it!

This is cool app that also helped me in that it gave me use of Task
Manager, Defrag, MSConfig, and Regedit programs until I found out what the
problem was.
