what options DO you see when you run your XP CD?
Pick the one that installs Wundows XP again
(make sure you have backups first of course)

unfortunately I'm not finding it to be much help. I guess I should have
mentioned before that I am running Windows XP off of an Update Disk. I had
Windows 98 previously and recently upgraded that to Windows XP. I'm not
sure if that makes a difference but I still can't seem to come up with the
screens it seems I should be based on what yall are telling me. I'm
desperate for a solution, I feel as though I'm doing more harm than good.
