Even though I don't have this problem it is now on a floppy for futue use.

I have the same problem: since installing DVD writer (pioneer) and the cd
that came with it, auto play won't work on my original dvd/cd combo drive
and if I insert another disk in the original drive it still shows up as the
previous disk, I gave up trying to figure it all out, did it once or twice
but forgot how
