Removing 2nd installed bersion of XP

message from Lawrence on 5 Jun 2004
I reinstalled and now I have a 2nd Win XP (Home ed) in the Boot List.. How
do I remove the extra version and release that disk space?

Please select operating system to start

Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition

The default version (in the first position) works. The 2nd choice has the corrupted file and doesn't boot. How do I remove it from the options?

corrupted. The repair option wouldn't work and I had to reinstall. Now I
get the message:

Thanks, it worked for me (i did try searching, but probably wasn't using the right phrase).
Tried looking for boot.ini, but it is a hidden file and wasn't showing up.
All better now.
