RPC Database Does Not Start on Bootup |
| message from =?Utf-8?B?UGF1bEY=?= on 3 Jun 2004 |
When I start up my computer Windows XP will load and everything seems fine except none of my printers load. Going into services.msc I have determined that the RPC Database is stopped (Yes, I have tried setting it both to Manual and Automatic).
Starting this up "manually" allows me to then start up Print Spooler in the Services which then recognizes the printers.
What I do not understand, and would appreciate some help with, is why the RPC Database "stops itself" when I re-boot (either cold or warm reboot) the machine.
I have checked for viruses (Trend Micro anti-virus) and my machine is clean. In fact, it has been running this way since I took it out of the box a month ago.
Any assistance/advise would be appreciated.
