I am writing after viewing your website. I work with the Miami-Dade PD and have numerous computers using windows xp professional for our platoon. the same thing that the enclosed email that i found on your site explains my situation. is there a way to click ok twice in order to proceed to the desktop. it's annoying to click ok twice when i never needed to do this prior. please advice thank you

Wes, much appreciated. I followed your lead to the letter, unfortunately it did not make the logon dialogue box with user name and password disappear. all the suggestions have done several things. now instead of getting the domain and user alert not being the same doesn't appear anymore. the name and password are now filled in so all the personnel have to do is hit enter and the desktop appears. i'm at a loss as to how to bypass the final message.
also, several of the computers boot up from a dormant and shut down stage when the mouse is moved in any direction [however slight] while on the mouse pad?? these glitches drive you crazy. in a way it's a nice perk unless you bump the mouse by accident. i've searched high and low and haven't found any relief to this either. any suggestions folks.
huck

wes, i want the computers to do exactly what yours does..auto logon without anything...just skip right to the desktop. unfortunately, a domain was created and i've followed all your suggested fixes, to no avail. i'll try going into the registry and getting rid of the domains. i appreciate your advice. as for the mouse bootup, i just put the mouse in a side mounted usb on the tower...no more auto starts
