Problem with new installation of win xp and no password |

I just loaded Windows XP on my pc, it asked for user names, I typed mine and hit enter and my husbands and hit enter, it took me directly to the sign on screen. I didn't give it a password and if it gave me one, I missed it somehow. How can I fix this or what would the password be? It won't allow me to go anywhere without a password and to hit enter is a deadend also, says that the specified domain either does not exist or can't be contacted. Or should I format my computer again, have windows 98 on another drive, I'd like to take out anyhow. How can I format if I have to, do I go in through win98 and do this? If anyone can give me step by step instructions to my email at MawKaw4214@juno.com, I really would appreciate it.
