Print spooler |

My printer is no longeer working. Print spooler is possibly disabled but i don;t know hot find it or how to enable it. My other printer comes up with the message of RPC not available. I cannot reinstall the printers.

WinXP; Control Panel, Perf & Maint, Admin Tools, Services, Print Spooler.

Found the print spooler but every time I set it to start it returns to stop. I've noticed that the box apply is not in use so I press OK. It all changes back to stop one I start to install.
