Outlook not working properly |
| message from =?Utf-8?B?UmVlYQ==?= on 4 Jun 2004 |
Hi.
First of all, I don't know even know who to contact about this, so I might be in a completely wrong forum, but I'm hoping somebody could point me to the right direction.
So. I have Outlook Express 6 that comes with XP. I have an ADSL connection which I setup a couple of days ago, when I got a new laptop. I have two mailboxes that I access through Outlook, from two different operators. In the beginning everything worked fine. Then yesterday, all of a sudden, I can't get a connection to either of the mailboxes. It times out, I get an TCP/IP error message. I haven't done any modifications or installations that I know of that would had an effect on this. And my connection is otherwise working fine. So what should I do?

Hi
try resetting your tcp/ip stack.
go to start, run, type cmd
then at command prompt enter the following
netsh int ip reset c:\ipreset.log
connect to your dsl connection.
once connected go to start run, type cmd
at command prompt type ping google.com or ping 216.239.37.99 (google server ip address)
if you get replys back your okay.
and should be able to get emails, if not then it could be a connectivity problem with your dsl connection.
thanks
lavan
