Mic is gone. Error 0x80004005 |

Situation - An error occurred during direct play voice setup. The error code is 0x80004005.
I have installed a creative sound card and now the microphone is gone.My error occurs when I run sound test in hardware.I do not use Mcaffee. I have disbeled old sound card in BIOS.
If you requiere more information, please give me a shout.

Are you sure that error code is correct? I just did a quick search in the MS
KB and there is a lot of discussion of that error code and databases. The
closest reference to sound involves streaming media servers over an HTTP
proxy server. I would uninstall and then re-install the sound card drivers
and see what happens...GL
