Mapped Network Drive - XP Home Edition |
| message from =?Utf-8?B?Tm9ybQ==?= on 4 Jun 2004 |
I have been assisting with the computer work at my wife's office - small 2 doctor clinic with 5 workstations. We just replaced the old workstations (W2K) with new PCs running XP Home Edition. Everything is working great except that when the PC gets rebooted or comes up first thing in the morning, the mapped network drive will not come up. You can dbl-click and it will then become attached and available, but it ends up being a manual task each time. This did not occur with W2K.
What can be done to correct this problem?? Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.

XP Home should stay at home (thus the name).
You should consider upgrading to XP Professional.
(Note that your Win2k had "Professional" in its name, too).
