Microsoft Management Console Errors |

When I click on Control Panel-Administrative Tools-Services I get an error "Microsoft Management Console has encountered a problem and needs to close.........." . I traced this error as the cause for why my Norton Antivirus will not run. My NAV Monitor is in the windows startup but closes almost immediately, and I can't run any system or file scans. I double click on the NAV Icon on the desktop and nothing happens, it refuses to open. When I try a system or file scan I get "Norton Antivirus has encountered a problem and needs to close..........". I did a system scan from the Symantec website and I didn't have any viruses or trojans. I would like to try to avoid having to reformat the hard drive so if anyone has any ideas I sure would appreciate the help. Thanks!
