Internet Explorer Crashes After Entering a URL

When I enter a URL in Internet Exlorer or if I enter a filename in File Open or File Save window in Microsoft Office products, the application crashes. Windows Explorer is okay and Netscape Browser is okay.

Any resolution to this? I'm having similar issues today; unnusual runtime errors causing the explorer browser to close?
