message from =?Utf-8?B?Y2Fyb2xl?= on 3 Jun 2004
I have tried to download windows xp service pack THREE times & just as I get to aprox 30mins to go, windows website cuts me off, then tell me to go to the "problems downloading service pack web site" (which I cannot find) this web site is supposed to let me download the service pack without being on line for hours, (so far I have spent over 9hrs trying to download this) I am on a pence (or euro) per min as at the moment I am visiting a friend in France and I am using their Wanadoo network. SOME BODY PLEASE HELP ME AS I MICROSOFT ARE NOT DOING ANYTHING FOR ME.

Regards Carole

Hi,

go to this link
http://www.softwarepatch.com/windows/winxpsp1.html
then click on the download, should be able to download it that way.

Hi Levan, Ive gone into the website you suggested, but it's telling me it will take 11hrs 35mins to download, that will cost me a fortune, is there no other way as Ive already spent over 9hrs trying to download it 3 times only to be cut off before it finishes.

Hi Carole

you can phone up microsoft, tell them you've got a dial connection and they will send you out a cd, you may have to pay for carriage.
