Help starting up Error |

everytime i start up my computer i get the message "Missing or corrupt file - \windows\system32\config\system.
it then goes on to say enter your startup cd to and press'R' to repair.
i tried that and when i press R i dont know what to do after?
any help to repair this file or anything
please let me know

Had same problems last week. Instead of repair go into install it will ask you again to repair. I tried it this way still no luck.
so i deleted and reinstalled windows. Now all is well. I was getting errors that files were damaged put in cd and repair.

You have a corrupted registry . The information that you need to repair this
