Ethernet Controller

message from =?Utf-8?B?U3RhY2V5?= on 2 Jun 2004
I just did a new installation of Windows XP Pro because I was having problems with the one I had. After the installation, the Ethernet Controller doesn't work anymore (Control Panel-->System-->Hardware--->Device Manager). Under "Other Devices" in the Device Manager, there is a question mark by the Ethernet Controller. I tried clicking on properties and reinstalling the driver, but my system restore CD does not have the Ethernet Controller on it. Do you know where I can download one ? I tried downloading several, but none seem to work. I have a Compaq with Intel Processor and a Motorola 5100 Modem...any ideas on how to troubleshoot the problem would be wonderful!

Go to www.hp.com, and search for the correct drivers for your particular
NIC.
