transparent as it should be? I have been to properties settings etc. ticked,
unticked every where obvious.I have also locked and unlocked web items in
arrange icons without success! any ideas please...Paul

Paul,
Look in Control Panel, System Properties, click on the Advanced tab, then
the Settings button in the Performance area, then click the Visual Effects
tab and scroll down to the bottom. Put a check mark in the box "Use drop
shadows for icon labels on the desktop", then ok your way back out and you
should be all set.
Mike
