Data Recovery

message from =?Utf-8?B?Ynl5MG4=?= on 4 Jun 2004
I recently experienced problems on my system after loading Norton Antivirus 2004 Upgrade. I took the machine to a shop and was told the solution was to reload windows XP Home edition. In the process I somehow managed to delete all the data files I had saved. To have the data extracted from the hard drive would be too expensive. I purchased data recovery software and was able to recover previous restore points onto a CD. Can I use System restore to recover this data and if so how?

Hi

System Restore doesn't monitor data files. So you won't be able to recover

Is there any one in particular you know? I used Stellar Info to recover the data but I cannot recognize most of the file extensions.

Hi

I don't know Stellar Info. Personally, when needed, I use Executive
Software's Undelete, but I can never guarantee to recover 100% of all files.
