Chkdsk/Defrag |

We have win xp home. Defrag stopped working showing an error chkdsk scheduled to run on dive c. Please run chdsk/f.
No luck there even doing the run commands. Chkdsk only runs a scan but will not fix errors. Seems we've tried everything but dynamite..but hope someone here can guide us. We are also running Norton and Zone Alarm and even with shutting those down it still does not work.
Any help is greatly appreciated..

If it is zone alarm 5 do not just shut it down . Shut it down and uninstall
it then reboot and CHKDSK should run.
